ARTDRIVE started as a group of relatives SELLE the vocalist sister of JEROME the bassist first cousin of PAUL the guitarist and their uncle BONNIE the drummer. The name ARTDRIVE was given by our tito because most of our family is an artist and art is our music.. drive means continue your dreams no matter how zigzag the road is. Year 2006 when SELLE started to write lyrics about her past relationship and ask PAUL to put melody and “PAALAM” was created. “PAALAM” is all about how to say goodbye without hurting anyone. Even though their still in love with each other. We are an acoustic band before just guitar and beat box so we ask JEROME to study bass to become our bassist and started to switch in a full band. In a year later the band started to compose a couple of songs inspired by the 1st original song.. SELLE the “FEMINISTA” write “PALAYAIN” about all the women who want to be free that a woman has the rights to say what they felt. PAUL again put a very good melody about “PALAYAIN”. Most of our songs are all about relationship, broken hearted, soul searching, and how to end up a relationship. SELLE, JEROME, BONNIE and PAUL decided to expose their music and be heard. The band have 11 original songs PAALAM, PALAYAIN, LETTING GO, HATRED SEASON, BREAK UP, DEAD END, SAN NGA BA AKO, BALIW, INUMAN NA, HANGIN and our last compose is all about children “MGA BATA’.. which posted onhttp://www.youtube.com/user/sway1118 .. PINOY UNDERGROUND inspired us to wrote a song about children because of MAY 23 HELP KID’S WITH CANCER.. And thanks to RAKISTA.COM for giving us opportunity to play for their event and that’s our first gig in manila. They said being a MUSICIAN is tough. You felt rejection and discrimination but thanks to SELLE the Vocalist to continue writing song and have a deep explanation of they so called life, to PAUL the guitarist for giving an inspirational melody to their song to JEROME the bassist for being our encourager to continue our dream and to our drummer BONNIE to make us laugh when we are all pressured and exhausted. And thanks to our FAMILY for their support ^^.. and we would like to dedicate our songs to all of you who give us hope and inspired us, we will continue to create more inspirational songs we JUST NEED YOUR SUPPORT GUYS ^^
